Chiropractic Care

Adjustments are one tool in a bigger plan. We use them to restore joint motion and calm pain, then we retrain the pattern that made you stiff in the first place.

Dr. Taylor Wolf performing a side-lying chiropractic adjustment on a patient in Salt Lake City.

Most chiropractic clinics are built on volume: a quick crack, a five-minute visit, and a standing appointment for the rest of your life. That model can feel good for a day or two, but it never answers the real question, why does the same joint keep locking up?

At Elevated Sport and Spine, adjustments are the beginning of care, not the whole product. Dr. Wolf uses specific joint manipulation to restore motion where you've lost it and to give the nervous system a window of relief. Then, in the same one-hour visit, we use that window: retraining how you move so the restriction doesn't come straight back.

The goal is a discharge date, not a dependency. Most patients graduate to a maintenance-as-needed schedule they control, because the underlying pattern is fixed.

What this helps with

  • Joints that feel stiff, locked, or "stuck": spine, hips, shoulders, ankles
  • Back and neck pain that flares with sitting, lifting, or sport
  • Pain that keeps returning after quick-visit chiropractic elsewhere
  • Loss of rotation for golf, tennis, or overhead sports
  • General movement quality: feeling rusty, guarded, or slow to warm up

How we approach it

01

Assess the whole chain

A stiff joint is usually compensating for a lazy one somewhere else. Before any adjustment, we screen how you actually move, hips, spine, shoulders, so we treat the cause, not the loudest symptom.

02

Adjust with intent

Specific, targeted manipulation to the segments that genuinely lack motion. No assembly-line full-spine routine, just the joints that need it, when they need it.

03

Lock in the change

The 20 minutes after an adjustment are prime nervous-system real estate. We fill them with precise movement work so your body keeps the new range instead of snapping back to the old pattern.

What to expect

Your first visit is a full hour, one-on-one with Dr. Wolf: history, movement assessment, treatment on day one, and a straight answer about what's driving the problem and how many visits it should realistically take. No pressure to pre-pay for packages, and no treatment plan without an end goal.

Chiropractic questions

No, and if a clinic tells you that, ask why. Adjustments restore motion; movement retraining keeps it. Once the pattern holds, most patients come in only when something new flares up or ahead of a big season.
