Sports Chiropractic

For skiers, golfers, runners, lifters, and weekend warriors: care that measures success by what you can do again, not just how you feel on the table.

Dr. Taylor Wolf coaching a patient through a kettlebell floor exercise as part of a return-to-sport plan.

There's a difference between "your MRI is clean, you can stop coming" and "you're ready to ski Alta on a powder day." Sports chiropractic lives in that gap. The standard of success isn't the absence of pain. It's the confident return of capacity.

Dr. Wolf built Elevated Sport and Spine around the athlete's version of care: understand the demands of your sport, find the link in the chain that's failing under those demands, fix it, and then prove it's fixed under load before you go back. His TPI and PRI training means assessment goes deeper than "where does it hurt": into rotation, force transfer, and the asymmetries every athlete accumulates.

It's also for the athlete you used to be and want to be again. A huge share of our patients are active adults in their 40s, 50s, and 60s who were told to "take up swimming" by someone who never asked what they actually love doing. We think that's lazy medicine.

What sports chiro helps with

  • Sport injuries: sprains, strains, overuse flare-ups, and the nagging stuff in between
  • Return-to-sport after time off, injury, or surgery clearance
  • Recurring injuries that keep ending training blocks
  • Loss of power, rotation, or speed without an obvious injury
  • Ski-season prep and in-season maintenance for mountain athletes
  • Structured performance care for golf, running, and racquet sports

The process

Expect to be treated like an athlete regardless of your age or level: real questions about your training, honest timelines, and a plan that keeps you doing as much of your sport as safely possible while we fix the problem. Complete rest is a last resort, not a default prescription.

  1. 1

    Assess against your sport

A skier's hips, a golfer's thorax, a runner's foot, every sport loads the body differently. Assessment starts from what your sport demands, not a generic template.

  2. 2

    Treat the failing link

Adjustment, dry needling, shockwave, soft-tissue work: whatever combination the tissue actually needs, delivered in the same visit as the movement work that supports it.

  3. 3

    Rebuild capacity

Progressive, sport-specific loading until the fixed link holds up at full intensity. You don't guess whether you're ready. We test it.

Sports Chiro questions

Usually yes, modified. Total rest deconditions the exact tissue we're trying to rebuild. We'll tell you specifically what to keep, what to modify, and what to pause, and we update it every visit.
